Betting Staking Plan for Trading The SPFL betting tips from Scottish Football Tips

Trading The SPFL : Weekend 28th October

So, farewell Pedro.

A man that provided all sorts of comedic value and very little in the way of substance or results. An appointment that looked flawed from the outset has indeed turned out to be case. Scottish football will be worse off without him, Rangers, I imagine will find a far superior manager this time round.

It is with the Ibrox side that we begin this week’s article.

I would have preferred Pedro and his caravan to remain for their trip to Murrayfield to face Hearts as we knew what we would be getting. Uncertainty is not a great quality to be betting against, but all the same Hearts remain a viable prospect against a club in limbo. Personally, I had this match almost a 50-50 encounter, so the Hearts price is a welcome surprise. We need to be looking to take advantage of these prices and there is some excellent value on the Asian handicap – be quick though as the price is shortening up.

(ED: Thomas has advised this as a 4.5star selection which equates to 3.5% of your bankroll. IF you have already invested in Hearts with the earlier posted Scottish Premiership Tips you should consider just bringing your investment up to 3.5% rather than adding another 3.5% on top of your earlier bet.)

Remaining in the Premiership, we can look at the match between Motherwell and Hibernian for our next trade. I am a huge fan of Neil Lennon and his Hibernian side – especially John McGinn and  Dylan McGeough in the midfield. As a Celtic man myself, I see McGinn as a very able replacement for the likes of Brown in years to come, or Stuart Armstrong at the end of this season (most likely). However, they are very short for this match against Steve Robinson’s side. I must admit that Motherwell are surpassing my expectations of them, although that’s probably a common belief among followers of our game this season.

This is another match that I price very close to 50-50, so the even money available on Motherwell +0.25 Asian Handicap is well worth a look. For those not too familiar with this bet – you will have half your stake refunded if it’s a draw, the other half will be settled as a winner at even money should Motherwell draw or win the match. You will lose your full stake if Hibernian win.

In the Championship, Falkirk are beginning a new dawn under the capable Paul Hartley. Results have improved immediately under his stewardship, and they now travel to goal shy Queen of the South. With Dobbie in your ranks you will always have a chance, but the star man for Queens has hit a little bit of a dry patch in recent weeks and a few injuries could also take their toll. The 6/4 available draw no bet is worth a medium interest.

For those of you confident regarding exchange betting – Livingston are more than a little short this weekend. I have already had a lay matched at 1.34 with Betfair. I won’t put this in as a recommended tip as liquidity is a little thin at this point, but if you can lay anything less than 1.35 then I would make that a medium investment. A word to the wise, if you aren’t confident regarding exchange betting, then try and familiarise yourself with it before getting involved. We will have some further reading in our Learning Zone in the coming months.

Remaining in the Championship, we see arguably the match of the weekend at this level when Morton travel to their best pals St Mirren. Straight to the point on this one – St Mirren are a touch too big at 11/10 and whilst it’s not your everyday encounter, The Buddies should be a touch of odds-on.

Our final trade this week can be found in the bottom tier where Elgin travel to Clyde. Elgin are arguably the form team in this division just now and should be full of confidence heading to take on Jim Chapman’s side. I make the away side favourites here and so the 2.15 available on the Asian Handicap (0) is worthy of a solid bet.

Good Luck!
