Betting Staking Plan for Trading The SPFL betting tips from Scottish Football Tips

Trading The SPFL : Weekend 13th January

Hello readers,

This weekend sees us with a few decent things to go at for the first time in a good few weeks, after quite a quiet Christmas spell where the bookies managed to keep things pretty much in line with what they should be. However, their lack of knowledge/care of the Scottish game will always see them slip up frequently – hopefully we can pounce with some success here.

My first trade is already covered in excellent detail by my colleague Colin Ross HERE.

I have little more to add to this other than it really does need to be backed given the respective state of both clubs, the prices here are incorrect and Airdrie should be sided with quite strongly.

In League Two, Stenhousemuir travel to Clyde. The Warriors managed to extend the loan of Alan Cook until the end of the season recently but look like they might lose the influential Harry Paton back to parent club Hearts (although talks do appear to remain ongoing). This shouldn’t put us off backing the away side this weekend.

Clyde have seen some solid support in the betting markets all season, but in particular the last few weeks. This is best to be ignored – Clyde have a weak squad and try to shoehorn everything through David Goodwillie. Losing Alan Munro last week (returns to Forfar) is another blow.

Make sure to take advantage of the generous price on offer here.

Remaining in the bottom tier there is a clash that up until a few weeks ago would have had all the makings of a real title fight – Peterhead v Stirling Albion. However, Peterhead have really stepped things up a level and Stirling (despite a 2-0 win last week) have been performing to levels manager Dave Mackay will not be happy with.

All that being said, the prices available on the away side here are a touch on the big side and a small stake is advised in the hope the win over Berwick Rangers sparks Stirling back into life (they have already recorded a 4-2 at Peterhead earlier in the season).

Back to the Championship and we find one more spot of value in the Highlands where Inverness CT take on Queen of the South. Inverness have finally started to come to terms with life in the Championship and are now posting some impressive results, dispatching Falkirk 4-1 this midweek is further evidence of this. Queens on the other hand have had a bit of a mixed season. With momentum on their side, the home side deserve our support here at the prices.

(ED: If you have already backed Airdrie on the basis of Colin’s lower league advice just top up to Thomas’ 2% of bankroll. That means a total of investment of 2% on each advised bet concerning Airdrie. No more than 4% invested altogether.)
