Trading Scottish football every week with Scottish Football Tips

We finally got back to winning ways last weekend and this week we have three trades to get our teeth into in the aim of increasing our seasonal profit.

First though a small apology as Oddschecker has a few gremlins this morning so there may be higher prices than quoted available out there.

Trading The Scottish Premiership

One swallow does not a summer make and Hearts' well earned point at home to Rangers last weekend does not mean they have turned a corner. Their injury list remains extensive; Naismith, Walker, Haring, Souttar, Halkett and Washington are all first team players.  So we shouldn't be at all surprised to see another varied performance.

A trip to Livingston is as hard an away trip in the SPFL outside the top two. At home this Livi side are formidable and, as suggested last week, I still make them underrated for the most part.

A wee drift on their price this morning shouldn't worry us too much. There is a hint of value to be had for my money and we can take them with draw no bet insurance at 1.88 (22/25) for 1.25% of bankroll.

Trading Scottish League One

Montrose will be our biggest bet of this weekend and our biggest investment for a wee while. Three wins on the spin has lifted The Gable Endies well off the bottom as they work to meet pre season expectations.

They will be up against a stuffy outfit in Stranraer who have improved their own lot of late with three hard earned draws. But we should fancy the home side a fair bit more than the bookies have chalked them up for Saturday's encounter.

We can take them to win the match outright at 2.0 (1/1) for 2.5% of bankroll.

Also in League One we have a top of the table clash which, against all expectations, doesn't involve Falkirk.

East Fife have surprised everyone with their early season performances so far. Although I tipped them up in the ante post markets at 25/1 I am still surprised by just how strong they have stood up in the first quarter of the season.

They remain the only unbeaten side across all four divisions. Remarkable. In a division which includes two well funded full-time sides, they have the joint highest average shots on target ratio and they outright lowest average shots on target conceded ratio. Incredible.

So, while they are up against a strong and dynamic side in Raith Rovers they shouldn't be discounted. They went to Falkirk and dug in for an excellent point. They can do the same here which will always give them the chance of coming out on top.

With a WDW price of 3.8 (14/5) we can get on side with the handicaps and 0 Asian Handicap (DNB) for 1.5% of bankroll.
