We had a few midweek plays released over our Telegram instant messaging group that were hit and miss. Biggest disappointment was in the Killie v Motherwell match being postponed. We were halfway to a good winner in that one.
On to this weekend and it is very quiet. However there are a few pieces hovering on the value line so stuff may become viable between now and Saturday afternoon.
Again it is worth joining our inplay group to receive updates on late triggers. For now we have one trade from the Championship which it's worth remembering plays out this evening (Friday).
Falkirk are a much changed side from the one that propped up the table for most of the first half of the season. Ray McKinnon has brought in his own charges and the form has changed dramatically.
But the best bit of business was probably retaining Zak Rudden on loan from Rangers. The youngster is one away from double figures for the league. Remarkable considering how detached they once were.
Of course they have gone six games without defeat and they included matches against Ayr Utd and Dundee Utd, two of the divisions leading lights. So there is more to the turnaround in their fortunes than Rudden.
Keilor-Dunn on loan from Ross County made an instant impact while Ian McShane and Abdul Osman bring experience and solidity to the midfield.
The Bairns have become very difficult to beat under McKinnon. Against a Morton side who continue to struggle for goals giving them a positive handicap advantage ought to count in our favour.
We can take them with a +0.25 asian handicap at 2.02 (51/50) with Betvictor and it's worth a 2% of bankroll investment.
