Trading Scottish Football 19th January

Trading Scottish football every week with Scottish Football Tips

Another solitary trade last weekend came home with plenty to spare as we continue to ratchet up the profit in 2019.

However this weekend is a very different bag. This weekend will see our biggest outlay for some time and more than a couple of selections to be taken.

It's Scottish Cup weekend and the Premiership sides come into the fray with some tasty handicaps available.

Trading The Scottish Cup

Starting with Hibernian at home to Elgin City and there is not a huge amount to add to the Even Money Double preview for this weekend. Save to say Hibernian are completely underrated for this encounter (or Elgin are overrated). Either way there is a huge opportunity here and it is one we are going to take a real chance on and go in hard.

It's virtually inconceivable that Hibs don't win this game with plenty to spare. Even should they see a man sent off there is such a disparity they still ought to win the game comfortably.

Even more incredibly Hibs are a side who have drifted since markets opened on Sunday. A trend you can fully expect to see reversed by kick off on Saturday afternoon. Anyway, we have a few trades here so I am just going to list them.

Hibernian -1 handicap at 1.5 (1/2) for 5% of bankroll (MAX BET).

Hibernian -2 Asian Handicap at 1.87 (7/8) for 2.5% of bankroll.

Hibernian -3 handicap at 4.2 (16/5) for 1% of bankroll.

Needless to say should Hibs fail to do the do we are in the deep do do but 8.5% total outlay is manageable. We made more than that last weekend.

Aberdeen are next in the sights. Up against stronger opposition than Hibs and yet priced shorter. Still, there remains value to be had on Aberdeen. Once again we look to the handicap market and -2  is priced at 2.1 (11/10) and is worth 2% of bankroll.

Celtic and Rangers are other sides who ought to cover handicaps comfortably this weekend and a price of 3.72 for the four-fold of -1 handicaps is  worth taking on for a small investment. 1% of bankroll should hopefully see us adding to the celebrations come Sunday evening.

Trading Scottish League Two

Stirling Albion opened up at a very healthy price on Sunday of 2.2 (6/5) but it was quickly taken. Taking The Binos with draw no bet insurance at 1.67 (4/6) for a healthy investment was advised on our inplay telegram channel so I must reiterate how much it is worth getting involved there.

Some value remains however with Edinburgh City who host Annan Athletic. The league leaders have found their form again after a slight stumble and Blair Henderson is back amongst the goals.

His form has gone unnoticed in many quarters but the tall hitman is right up there with Nisbet, Shankland and Dobbie for goals this season.

City of course remain formidable defensively and another clean sheet was notched up last weekend. With Annan failing to convert a numerical advantage at Stirling Albion last weekend I price City up a little shorter than the 1.67 (4/6) still available (1.73 was again advised on our inplay/early warning channel).

1% of bankroll is sufficient here.
