Scottish Even Money Double 23rd February

The Scottish Even Money Double is a proven winner across multiple seasons. Selections can be taken from across the whole of Scottish football

Scottish Even Money Double Preview

Last weekend was a crushing disappointment with our selections looking very good from early on in the first half. Wasn't to be and our aim to turn a profit for the season is now on very shaky ground.

Not done yet though. With at least twelve match days still to run we have a chance and we're not giving up on the even money double which remains a strong long term winner.

This weekend sees us look at a return a little lower than we would normally go for but no harm in trying to secure a confidence boosting winner to get us back on track.

Scottish Even Money Double Selection 1 - Berwick Rangers v Elgin City +0.5 FIRST HALF GOALS

Facing off right here we have the two best first half goal producers in the country . Berwick have seen a first half goal in twelve of the thirteen matches since we have been recording their stats. Meanwhile Elgin are even better with a first half goal in fifteen from sixteen.

Those stats alone should be enough for us to plump for +0.5 first half goals at a price as high as 1.3 (3/10). But if you need anymore convincing you can be sure to witness two of the worst defences in the country right now.

Despite such a porous defence Elgin City are pushing for the playoffs. Courtesy of an attack that is still banging in the goals even after losing Shane Sutherland to Peterhead.

Nine goals in their last three games have kept them pushing hard on Stirling Albion and Annan Athletic. It's a position they won't want to give up on easily and will know they can blast Berwick out of the water if they go at them fast.

Scottish Even Money Double Selection 2 - ANNAN ATHLETIC (WIN) v Albion Rovers

Albion Rovers' form has certainly picked up a little as they battle for their lives to beat the drop. But despite improved performances all they have really managed to do is cut the deficit in defeats. Three 1-0 defeats in a row in a run of four away games and Saturday could see them complete the set.

At Annan they will be up against a side with the best goal difference in the division outside the top three who have been up to now a class apart.

To boot, Annan save their best performances for their home games. In their last five home matches they have faced each of the top three picking up a very creditable ten points. Peterhead were horsed 3-0 and Clyde will consider themselves a little fortunate to have escaped with a 1-1 draw. In between away wins at Cowdenbeath and Edinburgh City reinforce their position as best of the rest.

Those results mean they'll fancy their chances against anyone in the playoffs. But with Stirling Albion and Elgin City pushing hard on their heels there is a lot more work yet to do.

Dropping points at home to Albion Rovers would be unforgivable.
