Scottish Even Money Double 16th February

The Scottish Even Money Double is a proven winner across multiple seasons. Selections can be taken from across the whole of Scottish football

Scottish Even Money Double Preview

Last week was a lay week due to circumstances out-with my control. But of course the narrowed down selections all performed well. Opportunity missed but on another decent week site wide it's easy to take on the chin.

After an incredible January we have made double figure growth in the first two weeks of February. So the winning continues and hopefully that good form will translate to the EMD this weekend.

Scottish Even Money Double Selection 1 - CLYDE (-1 HANDICAP) v Albion Rovers

Albion Rovers almost caused a stir midweek by holding Stirling Albion for 83 minutes. But a late goal will have crushed them after putting in a sterling performance for so long. A gaping opportunity missed with twenty minutes remaining may haunt them for a few weeks to come.

Clyde can match The Binos' run of form. The Bully Wee have gone twelve games without defeat and were a mere handful of minutes from making it seven wins on the spin last weekend.

In David Goodwillie they have, perhaps, the best player at this level and the division above. Holding onto him in January was a decent piece of business. Although it was their only business with Danny Lennon clearly happy with the squad at his disposal. Hard to argue with given their form.

Few would have countenanced the idea of Clyde being in the title race in November. But with them so close to the two teams above them they are right in about it now.

So no room for slip-ups against the leagues' bottom side and Scotland's lowest scorers. They have the solidity in defence and the firepower to win this one comfortably.

Take Clyde -1.5 Asian Handicap with bet365 for the better price.

Scottish Even Money Double Selection 2 - Elgin City v Stirling Albion +1.5 TOTAL GOALS

As oft pronounced Elgin City are a goal backers dream. A strong attack with a defence so porous they are virtually throwing admiring glances at the Berwick Rangers backline.

They made little attempt at rectifying their defensive troubles in the January window. Coming up against a strong attack on Saturday suggests any side attempting to win this game is likely to have to score twice.

The Binos arrive with in form strikers in Dylan Mackin, Darren Smith and the evergreen Peter MacDonald still rolling back the years. On a fine run of form they will be keen to continue narrowing the gap to the playoffs.

Barely weeks ago the thought of reaching the playoffs was a long way off. But Kevin Rutkiewicz has brought renewed vigour and confidence since taking over the reins. He was of course helped by the return of Smith from injury.

Overall though, goals are a regular feature at Borough Briggs. And there is value to be had. You can be sure the current price is one that will fall when Saturday comes.
