The Scottish Even Money Double is a proven winner across multiple seasons. Selections can be taken from across the whole of Scottish football

Scottish Even Money Double Preview

Five winners from our first six attempts is a dream start to the new season. While we always have to be prepared for good runs to skid to a halt there is no reason to expect it this week.

The bookies are continuing to misrepresent a number of sides and events and that is exactly the opportunity we are looking for. Six from seven would appear to have another good chance this weekend.

Scottish Even Money Double Selection 1 - ARBROATH (DRAW NO BET) v Stranraer

Arbroath gave us our biggest win last week from our Trading The SPFL service as they knocked four past Montrose. The Red Lichties are full of attacking talent with Ryan Wallace and Bobby Linn getting right in amongst the goals on week one.

Against a Stranraer side who have defensive issues still to be overcome they will be out to continue that start to the season.

Stranraer also got their season off to a decent start with a point at home to Raith Rovers. But it's not too much of a jump to put that down to Rovers' away form continuing to plague them.

They are in for a much tougher time this weekend in Gayfield. Dick Campbell is an old master of the lower reaches of Scottish football and Darren Jamieson, Jason Thomson and Lewis Toshney are excellent defensive additions.

Do not be surprised to see Arbroath up at the top end of League One this season. They have the talent and with excellent League Cup results against Dundee Utd and Ross County in the bag they look to be bang in form.

Scottish Even Money Double Selection 2 - QUEENS PARK (DRAW NO BET) v Berwick Rangers

We are opposing Berwick Rangers again which may surprise some given they got their league season off to a terrific start with a 1-0 home win over Stirling Albion.

But there is more to that story than the 1-0 scoreline suggests. The Binos could, or should, have had the game sewn up by half time. A goal unreasonably disallowed and the woodwork (three times) saved Berwick's skin in the first forty-five.

To be fair to them they reemerged for the second half in better shape and more confident. But that confidence is fragile and it won't take much to knock it. A trip to Hampden Park remains a difficult venture.

Queens Park started their season with an excellent point in Peterhead. Gus McPherson will make them very difficult to beat this season and with Smart Osadolor and Josh Peters up front they have some firepower to get past teams.

We can be fairly confident in asserting Berwick Rangers will struggle for goals despite their good start. Against a difficult to beat Queens Park with some firepower up top they ought to be in for a long afternoon.
