About a week before the international break The Dons were looking invincible. Then came 3 defeats on the spin and 9 goals against in the space of little over a week.
Many observers will have you believe that the wheels are now off Aberdeen’s title challenge. Maybe they’re right but I am not going to countenance that just yet, not while they remain on top of the league.

Aberdeen’s preparation for Friday night’s match against The Staggies has been disrupted by international call ups for at least 4 first team players. That’s a measure of how far they have come with one of those players, Niall McGinn, picking up the Ladbrokes SPFL Scottish Premiership player of the month award.
In fact with a couple of Northern Irish and Welsh players in their side Aberdeen are likely to have more reps at Euro2016 than any other Scottish club, Celtic included.

The last time The Dons had so many internationals was back in the good old New Firm days.
They do need to get back on track though and will fancy their chances of victory against a Ross County side who have seen 1-2 reverses at home to both Hearts and Inverness this season.
Ross County v Aberdeen betting preview and betting odds
That’s a scoreline that has come in 10 times in their last 43 home league games and is worth keeping an eye on. At a price of 9/1 with McBookie that would have seen >100% ROI over the piece and looks to be worthy of a small investment.
It certainly looks to be a better option than backing The Dons to win at a best price 2.05(21/20) with Coral. There is enough reason to doubt the away team at that price and a far more interesting market to look at is ‘Highest Scoring Half’.
Only Celtic have scored as many first half goals as Ross County this season. In total 78.57% of goals in their games have come in the 1st half and that is inordinately high. They hadn’t even managed a goal in the 2nd half themselves until their last game.
Aberdeen have been doing their work early in their away matches too with 61.53% of all goals coming in the first half of games.
You can back the 1st half to be the highest scoring half at 3.25(9/4) with Ladbrokes and that will be my main bet for this encounter.
The final bet to consider is Jackson Irvine to score first at 25/1 with Coral. The Australian international hasn’t scored yet this season but I have no doubts there are goals in him.
Personally I have been waiting for his price to be right before backing him and that time has finally arrived. The price for this Ross County v Aberdeen betting preview dictates a minimum stake punt on him.
