The pressure remains on Ian Murray at Saint Mirren with the promotion playoffs looking dead in the water.

The Paisley Saints let yet another winning position fall from their grasp on Friday night when Morton equalised in the last minute.Their fragility was there for all to see as Morton pushed forward for an even later winner.

It’s one win in five now for The Paisley Saints which is just about the ratio they’ve managed all season.

Raith have also hit a stumbling block.  It’s one win in five for them now too but at least they were faring a lot better before the clocks went back an hour.

Two home defeats on the bounce is a far cry from their early season form although, in their defence, they came against two of the top three teams in the league.

Much more worrying for Ray McKinnon will be the manner in which they threw away a three goal lead on Saturday. A 0-3 lead with nine minutes remaining should be home and hosed in anyone’s books.

The current form of both sides leaves it very difficult to predict an outcome but if forced to plump for one I would have to say a draw is most likely. Perhaps even a score draw at that.

Raith are understandably favourites going into this match but I can’t back them at a best 2.3(13/10) with William Hill and McBookie. Not on current form.

Backing Saint Mirren would just be a folly and hard to justify. Even at a price of 3.0(2/1) with bet365, Boylesports, Betfair and McBookie.

The draw, which looks to have a chance is 3.6(13/5) with Paddy Power and bet365.

Even the goals markets offer little appeal in this one. Both teams to score is 1.73(8/11) with bet365 but that looks a little short given The Buddies away form. Over 2.5 goals is 1.85(17/20) with bet365 and it is also unappealing given weather conditions.

This game is a NO BET outcome for me although if forced I would plump for a draw. Luckily, nobody is forcing me.
