How To Use Scottish Football Tips

Shares

This page will go through in detail all the different facets associated with Scottish Football Tips. The intention is to make your navigation easier.

Joining, Signing In And Navigating

Joining Scottish Football Tips is simple. On the right hand side of every post there are 'Membership Options' that include a 'Join' option. Simply click on that to be taken to the membership levels page. Here you can sign up through Paypal, our chosen payment gateway. But you don't need a Paypal account to sign up. You can choose to pay as a guest using all major credit and debit cards. Needless to say Paypal is the safest online transaction service there is.

If you want to read more about the services we provide you can go to the Scottish Football Tips home page where all our services are listed and explained.

All of our premium tips have their own page with the service explained in even greater detail. You can access all of these via the 'Premium Services' drop down menu at the top of every post and page.

There is a login option on every page and post across the site. This is in both the 'Membership Options' in the right hand side bar and in the menu at the top of every page. For mobile users the menu is behind the menu icon at the top of every page. You can also log out with these options once ready to do so.

Clicking on 'Log in' will take you to the log in page where you enter your username and password. You generate these when you sign up as a Scottish Football Tips' member.

The menu at the top of the page is also your main navigation tool. All of our services are in the top menu. Use it to go from place to place when looking for new posts, free tips, predictor competition etc. We want to keep this menu as simple and uncluttered as possible. It is the best way to guarantee a good user experience.

Latest Previews Page

The Latest Previews page is your defacto home page. This is where all the latest posts and therefore all the latest tips get posted. Again this is accessible from the menu at the top of the page. Simply click on it and scroll down through the posts to see what has been posted across the site in the last few days.

There will also be a log in button at the bottom of the excerpts for members only content. Unless of course you are already logged in.

It is important to stress that the 'Latest Previews' page is effectively the home page of the site where you will be able to access all the latest posts and tips. If you are struggling to find something new go to the 'Latest Previews' page where all the latest posts are listed in order of newest first.

Finding Your Favourite Service

There are two ways to find posts specifically linked to your favourite tipping service. For example, if you want to find the latest Even Money Double or Scottish Lower League Tips.

In the right hand side bar there is a 'Categories' drop down menu (located at the bottom of the page on mobile). Click on this and look for the service. They are listed alphabetically and once you click on the category you wish to see it will take you to a new page listing only the posts from that category.

This is the easiest way to find the latest posts for particular services but not the only one. The right hand side bar also has a search box function (again at the bottom of the page on mobile). Simply enter your search term and it will take you to a listing of the latest posts most closely associated with that search term.

Why Don't We Send Emails Containing All The Tips?

This is a question we have been asked a few times. Many, perhaps most, tipping services send out one email to all their subscribers listing their tips for the upcoming action. However that is not a practical solution for us.

Most tipping services are lone operators who simply type up their tips in their email client and press send. It works for them and good luck to them and their subscribers. But we offer much more than that. Apart from the roster of tipsters who all produce tips and previews at different times we will also be introducing the 'Learning Zone'.

What we offer is bigger, more detailed and more expansive than the average tipster. It is simply impractical to be sending out emails for every single post. Subscribers would be deluged and the vast majority would not like it and it would make for a poor end user experience.

We do however have a weekly email that goes out to everyone who signs up to the site. Every Friday afternoon a list of all the latest posts since the previous Friday is sent out. You can also sign up for a daily email which will list all the posts up until 17:00 each day. Simply email us at 'contact@scottishfootballtips.com' to be signed up for that one.

Can I Be Notified When My Favourite Service Or Tipster Publishes?

We are working on a solution that will allow subscribers who wish it to be notified when only their favourite services publish new posts. It is in the pipeline and is something we hope to have up and running soon. However as I am sure you appreciate there are costs involved in all of this and that is something we are looking to work around.

Where Can I Find The Results Pages?

Each page for each premium service has results updated monthly. These monthly results are also sent out to all newsletter subscribers once they are collated.

Full results are available here updated weekly. This is also accessible from the 'Membership Options' panel in the right hand side bar of most posts and pages.

What Staking Plan Do You Implement For Your Tips?

Each of our tipsters are unique and usually implement differing betting strategies. For that reason each service has it's own staking plan. These plans can be accessed at the bottom of each new post for each service.

However they all work off the same (or similiar) bankroll management strategy. Maintaining a disciplined bankroll (or betting bank) should be your first port of call when aspiring to make profit as a football bettor. You can see an explanation of bankroll management rules here.

Any Other Questions?

If you have any other comments or questions about any of our services, navigation or any new additions you would like to see please leave a comment at the bottom of the page and we will get back to you as soon as is practicable.

In the meantime, good luck us!

Is there any way for notifications on mobile for the in play tips? Without needing to have the oage opened preferably as i often need to work or are unable ti look at phone a lot.
I’m new here, apologies if this service is available, if so could you point me in right direction please?

    • Vincent Mulligan says:

      Hi Gavin
Thanks for the question and you’re not the first to ask that one.
Unfortunately there is no way to achieve that at the moment. The whole mobile question is one that a lot of service providers are struggling with. More than 60% of site visitors now use mobile and that’s huge compared to even 2/3 years ago. The internet has been caught on the hop a bit by the mobile media revolution.

Apps are obviously a route a lot of people have gone down but they include large development fees which we could only cover by passing on to members. Not a viable option at this point I am afraid to say.

I have toyed with all manner of ideas for delivery of the inplay tips. Social media, whatsapp, facebook groups etc. But none of them offer the instantaneous speed of the life blogging software. They would also require extra resources and workflows which, again, are not viable.

Because we offer such a wide range of services at such a low cost to the user it is vital we keep the workflows minimal. I have toyed with the idea of offering up separate notification services but that would come at a cost to the user. I am not sure how that would go down or whether there would be enough interest to even make it viable.

I continue to look into it though and the software we use to design the whole site is updating at the end of August (17). It comes with all manner of stated improvements. Perhaps there will be something that will ease this conundrum.

I recently subscribed to your site for the discounted Lion Rampant pre-season deal. However when I log in (username is Lambored) I don’t have access to the previews and tip sections. Can you please confirm that you’ve received my payment and adjust my membership accordingly – £24.99 was deducted from my bank account to Paypal on 3rd August, Cheers

  • Slimgeo says:

I subscribed to Saltire on a special offer deal on the 3rd August but I am unable to access the Saltire sections of the site, thanks

    • Vincent Mulligan says:

Hi Slimgeo, my apologies I have only just seen this comment. I will look into it for you now and reply by email.
