Ladbrokes Scottish League 1 Playoff Final 1st Leg

Queens Park squeezed into the playoffs with a goal to spare.

Now they have seen off the highest ranking side in Cowdenbeath and should have every confidence in taking on Clyde. The Spiders have won three and drawn one of the four head to head meetings this season.

The head to head stats show that Queens Park won both meetings at Broadwood in the season proper and without conceding a goal in either. But they look likely to have to figure without their goal hero from the semi-final, Chris Duggan, who pulled his hamstring in the second leg.

With manager Gus McPherson banished to the stands after being sent off at Cowdenbeath there are reasons for Clyde to be optimistic. Not least being their own form which has hit a high note at exactly the right time.

The Bully Wee have scored eight goals in their last three games and two wins over Elgin in the playoff semi-finals is deserving of great credit. They will have their work cut out for them to overcome a well organised Queens Park side who have away form to rival anyone in the country.

Thirty-two of their fifty-six league points were picked up on the road and before the last two games they had gone ten games unbeaten on their travels. Had Chris Duggan been playing they may just have nicked this game but the Partick Thistle loanee is a big loss for the Hampden outfit.

Goals may be best avoided in this game with each of the last four meetings here seeing less than three goals and at least one of the sides fail to score.

Clyde v Queens Park Betting Preview Best Betting Odds

Clyde are strong favourites at a best price of 2.35 (23/17) with Marathon Bet. Queens Park have drifted out to 2.95 (39/20) with Marathon Bet who are also best price for the draw at 3.75 (11/4).

Both teams to score is very short at 1.62 (8/13) with Stanjames while Betfair offer 2.4 (7/5) for both teams to score NO and that looks like a better option. Goals backers should prefer the 2.2 (6/5) for under 2.5 goals also from Betfair.
