There are representatives from the Premiership and Championship remaining but with the potential of a Celtic v Rangers clash or a Dundee Derby there promises to be plenty of tension. The draw will be made by former Celtic legend Lubo Moravcic and it is live on Sky Sports News.
After Hearts drew with Hibernian the remaining Championship clubs Morton, Dumbarton and Rangers, will be keen to avoid the both Edinburgh sides. Particularly Hearts as they seemingly have fate on their side having reached the final in 1976, 1986, 1996, 2006 and now 2016?
The draw may result in a Glasgow derby with Celtic and Rangers still in the draw. Rangers still have to negotiate a difficult replay with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park before that could become a reality.
There are still ties to be completed after draws and postponements from the 5th round on Saturday. Dundee and Dumbarton have to do it all again, as do Hearts and Hibs, and Killie and Rangers as mentioned above.
Scottish Cup Quarter Finals Draw
The last of the teams from League 1 and below exited the cup in the round just finished. In the hat for the Scottish Cup Quarter Finals Draw there are only two Scottish Championship sides in Rangers and Dumbarton. The Scottish Premiership clubs remaining are Celtic, Hearts, Kilmarnock, Dundee Utd, Dundee, Ross County and Inverness.
There are no more easy games at this stage with even the remaining Championship sides proving they have plenty to offer the competition. Nobody would relish an away draw to Hibs or Rangers for a quarter final match.
The final draw will be updated in full on this page once it is complete. From there fans can start dreaming of that away day of away days at Hampden in May.
