Ross County v Dundee United Betting Preview
William Hill Scottish Cup Quarter Final
Location: Global Energy Stadium
Date: 5th March 2016
Ross County awoke from their League Cup final induced slumber with a fine 0-2 win away at Kilmarnock.
It leaves Killie in a spot of bother but Dundee United failed to take advantage by losing themselves at home to Aberdeen the following night.
At least they haven’t lost any ground on Kilmarnock so it is not quite make or break for them just yet but another loss is another dent in confidence. They should be heading here in confident mood having won 0-3 just last weekend.
Now though, you do have to wonder just how much import Mixu Paatelainen is going to put on the cup. Survival is undoubtedly the priority and the cup, as Ross County are testament to, can be a very big distraction.
Their form since reaching the League Cup Final has been very inconsistent with only Alex Schalk remaining consistently on song.
What has been consistent is the number of goals in their games. The last nine league games here have all seen three or more goals. Only two from the last fifteen have seen less with Ross County having the third highest home goals tally in the league.
I see no reason to venture away from the same bet that won last week with goals always likely here.
