Rangers v Saint Mirren Betting Preview

Saint Mirren have more recent success in national cup competitions than Rangers and nobody would have believed that had you said it would happen five years ago.
The Paisley Saints won the League Cup in 2013 while the last time The Gers were engraved on a cup was in 2011.
The Scottish Challenge Cup may not represent the most salubrious of trophies but for both sides the chance to get to a national final may ease their minds from more pressing concerns.
The Buddies are having to face facts and realise that they are in the midst of a relegation battle. Ian Murray may have one last chance to save his skin by defeating Rangers at Ibrox.
For The Light Blues there are legal ramifications from court cases popping up like Whack-A-Mole. Not to mention Hibs clawing back an eleven point lead in The Scottish Championship.
A fractious AGM being held on Friday morning could see other issues raise their head which may or may not cause some friction.
That being said matters on the field are not as dismaying as some reactionaries might have you believe. Dropped points at Hibs and Livi recently are mere symptoms of a long season.
No matter how much better than the rest Rangers are (and they are) they were never going to go the season unbeaten. It was also only a matter of time before one of the lesser sides found a way to grind out a result against them.
Home advantage should be more than enough to see Rangers into the final strait. But with Coral pricing up Saint Mirren at a massive 28/1 it opens up the possibility of something to whet the appetite of any football bettor.
Rangers v Saint Mirren Betting Preview Betting Odds
While backing Saint Mirren to win here would be at best optimistic backing them to score is far from a pipe dream.
With odds of 28/1 for the surprise win Coral have also priced them up at 2/1 just to get on the scoresheet. That’s a price I think will fall as we approach the Saturday afternoon kick off.
Both teams to score is 3.1(21/10) also with Coral and that’s the bet that I am plumping for. An early goal, particularly if it comes for The Buddies will offer plenty of opportunity to lay it off in-play.
Saint Mirren have given Rangers two very tough games already this year and even if they don’t make it third time lucky, a 4-1 home win will do very nicely.
