Rangers v Queen Of The South Betting Preview
Date: 26th March 2016
The title is within touching distance for Rangers.
Despite last Friday night’s calamity of losing three goals in the last twenty minutes you can expect them to nudge even closer on Saturday. Queen Of The South have some of the worst away form in the country with just two wins in their last thirteen away matches.
A trip to Ibrox didn’t hold much fear for them over the last four years but this season is a very different story. The Gers are on the verge of beating them for the fourth time this season and that just about makes up for the times they failed to do so in recent years.
A home win will all but consign Queens’ promotion hopes to the dustbin for this season, too. By five o clock on Saturday afternoon they should be fighting it out for fifth which would be a decent result to be fair to The Doonhamers.
They are on the back of an excellent 6-0 home win over Dumbarton but will be missing a few key players from that game. Andy Murdoch is a Rangers loanee and as such can’t play while Derek Lyle and Chris Higgins are suspended.
This is all about Rangers’ procession to the title and their recent good form, last week excepted, should continue without missing too many beats.
Rangers v Queen Of The South Betting Preview Betting Odds
Rangers are strong favourites and possibly worth considering for an acca even as low as 1.22 (2/9) with Skybet. Queens can be backed as high as 17/1 with McBookie while the draw is best priced at 6/1 with bet365 and McBookie.
Queens actually have an excellent goal scoring record against Rangers so both teams to score can be considered at 2.63 (13/8) with bet365 although it’s a little shorter than hoped for.
Backing Rangers with a -2 Asian Handicap should at least be covered to ensure your stake returns and could be worth taking a chance with at 2.12 (28/25) with 888Sport.
