Rangers should wrap up the Championship title at the second attempt.
There was a little consternation at their failure to do so on Saturday but there is no denying the destination of the trophy. All and sundry at Ibrox will want it done and dusted allowing them to focus on the impending Petrofac Cup Final and Scottish Cup semi-final.
A defence that has conceded nine goals in three games seems affected by the pressure of getting across the winning line but if there is a team in the league you can correct that against it is The Sons.
Dumbarton’s home form is excellent having lost just once in eleven matches (0-6 against Rangers). Away from home is a very different matter with not even a goal to show for their last seven games on the road. Most recently they were hammered 6-0 by Queen Of The South and another tanking is not out of the question.
The best Dumbarton can hope for is nerves within the Rangers ranks. If they can keep Rangers at bay for long enough to allow frustration to emanate from the stands they may have a slim chance of nicking something.
I wouldn’t be willing to bet on it with the likelihood being that The Gers will take the game to them right from the off. They have scored twelve goals to Dumbarton’s one in the three head to head meetings this season. Were it not for the prices being so restrictive backing Rangers on the handicaps could have been a decent ploy.

There is absolutely zero value on any of the markets with Rangers a best 1.14 (1/7) with Ladbrokes, Coral and bet365. McBookie offer up to 22/1 on a shock Dumbarton win while the draw is available at 8/1 with Paddy Power and McBookie.
Handicaps also have little to offer with the line drawn at Rangers -2 at 2.1 (11/10) with Paddy Power. While that looks likely to come in, recent form makes it difficult to have a lot of confidence in.
