Queen Of The South v St Mirren Betting Tips And Predictions
Ladbrokes Scottish Championship
Location: Palmerston Park
Date: 6th December 2016
Queen Of The South v St Mirren sees the two most out of form sides in the country try to arrest their form.
I should qualify that as being their league form. Both sides have recent cup wins under their belt but in the league they can’t buy a win. Neither side have managed to pick up a point in their last six Scottish Championship matches.
For St Mirren the malaise is much worse. For a side who I maintain have much more quality than their league position suggests it is unfathomable that they are yet to win in fourteen league matches.
But the Queens’ collapse is even harder to figure out. Their start to the season had The Doonhammers dreaming of promotion. The playoffs looked certain after five wins and three draws in their first eight matches.
They have had injuries to contend with to be fair. Although they continued to dominate teams even during their bad run. Their problem has been the alarming ease in which they have allowed teams to score against them and the difficulty they have in doing so themselves.
Derek Lyle has returned so they are likely to improve on their return of two goals in eight Championship matches. But when? And how? They are questions I wouldn’t like to try and answer. A new manager is the first port of call but he won’t take up his post until Tuesday morning. Is that enough time for a bounce?
St Mirren’s new manager has had his feet under the table long enough to be able to find his slippers without looking. But league wins are still proving elusive. However, much like Queens their performances (not results) have been up to scratch.
At least one of them will add points to the board but choosing which one is a tough gig.
