Kilmarnock v Motherwell Betting Preview
Location: Rugby Park
Date: 31st October
Mark McGhee must have feared the worst facing his first two games as Motherwell gaffer.
A home game against Celtic and a trip to Aberdeen looked like two heavy defeats could be on the cards. But The Steelmen conceded just two goals over the two matches and took a point home from Pittodrie.
A trip to Rugby Park must have looked like a walk in the park when he first took over but things have changed a little since then.
Killie have turned into one of the form teams in the division. With striker Josh Magennis in tremendous form they have scored at least twice in five of their last nine games.
At home they have managed that feat in four of their last five and look good to get on the scoresheet again on Saturday.
McGhee can take solace in his team limiting the top two teams in the country to a goal apiece. He may, however, feel his team should be more expansive here with three points going a begging.
Put a gun to my head and I would say Kilmarnock should win this game but that draw in Aberdeen could do wonders for Motherwell’s confidence.
Both sides are evenly matched, pricewise, on the WDW markets and that does suggest a little value on the home side.
However, given that Kilmarnock have seen +2.5 match goals in eleven of their last twelve home games backing goals should be the way to go.

Given those stats a price of 1.91(10/11) from McBookie for +2.5 goals looks like a potential steal.
The Scottish Premiership hasn’t let us down this season for goal production with all but three teams seeing more than 2.5 goals on average.
Motherwell are one of those three and while McGhee’s tenure hasn’t changed that too much Killie’s own home form is enough to entice me to bet.
