Ladbrokes Scottish Championship
Location: Easter Road
Date: 12th November 2016
Top of the table Hibs will be looking to put daylight between themselves and Dundee United when they face Falkirk at Easter Road.
The Arabs joined the Hibees on twenty-seven points, having played a game more, with a win at Dunfermline on Tuesday. Neil Lennon’s side are looking for a fourth win on the spin. They face a Falkirk side who have won only once in five league matches.
The sides met six times last season. It culminated in a two-legged Premiership Play-off semi-final that the Bairns won 5-4 on aggregate. They would go on to lose the final against Kilmarnock, though. That ensured they remained in the Championship alongside Hibs for another season.
Jason Cummings goals gave the Edinburgh side a 2-1 win on the opening day at the Falkirk Stadium. However Cummings is likely to start on the bench here. Lately he has been dropped in favour of Martin Boyle. Boyle has scored three goals in his last two matches and has struck up a good partnership with Grant Holt.
Meanwhile Falkirk needed an injury time equaliser against Morton last weekend in a match they had dominated, to prevent a third straight defeat. Peter Houston demanded answers from his side, calling their first half performance “average”. He was, however, impressed with their second half showing. Houston said “if we were to play to the tempo of the second half for 90 minutes, we’ll blow many teams away.”
But will this include Hibs? Falkirk have been patchy this season. They have taken eight points from a possible twenty-one so far against teams currently above them in the league. That, along with Hibs’ victory in August, means that Falkirk’s poor recent run of form looks set to continue for another week in the capital.
HIBERNIAN V FALKIRK BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS BEST BETTING ODDS
The majority of bookies favour Under 2.5 goals. But Ladbrokes buck that trend with +2.5 goals at 1.80 (4/5) against Under 2.5 at 1.95 (19/20). This is the best price you’ll find for either, anywhere, and Marathon Bet offer both Overs and Unders at 1.95 (19/20).
BTTS may well be the market for me here, as on recent history there can only be one outcome. Yes is best priced at 1.95 (19/20) with bwin while No is available at 2.00 (Evens) with McBookie.
3 of Hibs’ last 6 matches have seen Over 2.5 goals, and the same number have seen both teams score.
Both teams have scored in 4 of Falkirk’s last 6 matches, however only 2 of those 6 matches have seen Over 2.5 goals.
Head To Head Stats

There have been 4 score draws in those 6 matches, and the sides have a win each.
