FC Infonet v Hearts Betting Preview
Date: 6th July 2016
Hearts were slow out of the blocks in the Europa League 1st round, 1st leg.
As a result they conceded an away goal and many at the game felt they were fortunate to escape with a one goal lead. Robbie Neilson has assured Jam Tarts fans that they will be much sharper second time around and they will need to be.
The away goal could be an albatross around their neck. They could do with cancelling it out while being careful not to hand the onus to the home side. It’s a difficult balance, particularly for a team with such little European experience.
Of the team that started last week it would appear that only Prince Buaben had any prior European experience. Perry Kitchen came off the bench and added to it so he may very well start on Wednesday afternoon.
One positive note to be taken from the first leg was the performance of new signing Faycal Rherras. The young Belgian got rave reviews in a position that had troubled Hearts throughout last season. If their other new signing, Conor Sammon, can replicate the youngsters performance it would go a long way to easing their troubles.
But there is every chance that Robbie Neilson could opt to play Juanma in a lone strikers role. This would give the option of bolstering the midfield. This in turn could help to shore up the defence that looked less than secure in last week’s tie.
To be fair FC Infonet are half way through their season and last week’s game should stand Hearts in good stead. But they’ll need to be on the ball because the Estonians showed last week that they really mean business.
