Location: Dens Park
Date: 12th March 2016
Dundee were brought back to earth with a bump in the Scottish Cup.
How they react to that beating from Rangers is hard to gauge but there is no discounting their home form. They are unbeaten at Dens Park in eight matches with just three defeats here in sixteen games all season.
One of those defeats came at the hands of Hearts but their away form has crumbled since the start of the season. The Jam Tarts have one win in eight away matches, a 0-3 victory at Ross County that most observers have been calling fortunate.
They have won three in a row (all at home) with three clean sheets so there is some leverage to them getting the favourites tag. But if Dundee are determined to dispel the grumblings from last week Hearts will need to perform better than they have been.
There is something else to consider with The Dee’s next game being the Dundee derby. A chance to hammer a few nails into the Dundee Utd relegation coffin would mean a lot to their fans. First of all though they will be looking for a reaction from last Saturday’s meek showing.
Cards backers will be delighted to know that Willie Collum will be in charge and he has a record of flashing reds on a whim. Many Hearts fans even believe it is personal so don’t be surprised if a sending off occurs in this game.

Hearts are favourites with the bookies at a best priced 2.5 (6/4) with William Hill but I can’t have that given their away form. Dundee can be backed at a high of 3.1 (21/10) with Marathon Bet while the draw is 3.4 (12/5) with McBookie.
Both teams to score always has a chance with Dundee and is tempting at 1.9 (9/10) with 888Sport. For three or more goals in the game Marathon Bet will pay out at 2.19 (19/16).
