Dundee have gone from top six material to relegation candidates after two wins in fifteen games.
Paul Hartley is suddenly feeling the pressure when just a few months ago he was the up and coming star of Scottish football. At least his team still have goals in their repertoire.
Against Aberdeen last time out at Dens was the first time they have failed to score at home all season. That was a poor performance in dreadful conditions and it coincided with The Dons returning to form. It can be excused.
They keep conceding too though and last weeks loss to Motherwell sees them drop to ninth place a mere three points above the relegation playoffs.
Accies in sixth are only a further two points clear. A win for the home side could see them partake in that most Christmassy tradition of trading places.
Their form isn’t all that hot either with just one win in eight games and they have similar problems to Dundee. Scoring isn’t a problem but they too keep letting in at the other end.
Both teams scoring here seems to have a very high chance of success. Dundee have seen both teams score in nine of their last ten games. Hamilton Academical have seen both teams score in eight of theirs.
Since they have both returned to the Scottish Premiership both teams have scored in three of their four meetings. The game has finished as a 1-1 draw on the last two occasions.
Next to Saint Johnstone Dundee are the best team to back for both teams to score in the Scottish Premiership. Hamilton are following close behind. With them facing off there is only one way to go from a betting view point.

Picking a winner on the WDW markets is fraught with danger here. A draw would be my preferred choice from that market at a best 3.5 (5/2) with bet365. Backing a correct score of 1-1 would pay out at 7.5 (13/2) with McBookie and could be worth an interest.
For me both teams to score offers up plenty of value at 1.91 (10/11) with William Hill. The Dundee strikers remain in decent form and Accies have a few goals about them too.
One player who could get amongst them is big defender Jesus Garcia Tena. The big Spaniard didn’t play any part last week despite being on the bench. If he starts this week he is a great bet for anytime goalscorer at 18/1 with bet365.
The more adventurous can back him to score first at 45/1 with McBookie. He has three goals in fourteen league games this term and is likely to take penalties and dangerous free kicks given the opportunity. Although it may be better to wait for team news to see if he starts.
