Celtic v Motherwell Betting Tips And Predictions

Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership

Location: Celtic Park

Date: 15th October 2016
Time: 15:00

Motherwell fans must be dreading their visit to Celtic Park.

On the face of it their form is actually decent. They have lost just once in their last five games and that was a harsh result against an in form Hearts side. They are currently in the top six and may be in with a chance of staying there.

But their recent record at Celtic Park is frightening. The Hoops have put twelve goals past Mark McGhee's 'Well side in the last two games. While you have to think that Motherwell will learn from their mistakes it's hard to see Celtic not scoring another multitude of goals.

Celtic have scored thirty goals in their last six home games. That includes three against Manchester City in the Champions League. In the Scottish Premiership they have managed fifteen in three outings. Four, then five, then six and now seven? You can't put it past them.

But there is no value to be had on any Celtic markets. They are as low as 1/9 to win the game with most firms. Backing them to win with a -2 Asian Handicap is no better than 1/2. It's actually frightening how poor the prices are.

The handicap line is Celtic -3 goals. That may actually be likely but it's a difficult bet to pull the trigger on. Even in team goals markets you have to back Celtic to score four to get a bet at odds against. It's a bloody liberty but one the bookies probably have every right to take.

Although there may be one area that represents a little value. Celtic have conceded their fair share of goals, home and away. Only two sides have failed to score here this season. Alloa and of course the other is Motherwell.

It's risky but looking to Motherwell goals may just be your best bet.
