This could be a case of getting in quick as our pre-season selections for the League One title have got off to a real flyer.
The bookies have priced them up for a trip away at Ayr Utd on Saturday at a high looking 2.8(9/5). Considering Forfar have won their first three league games scoring nine and conceding just once that looks generous.
Sure, Ayr have won two of their three league games but they both came against two of the three most under-performing teams in the division, Brechin and Stranraer.
Neither of those sides have responded well to the management changes that came after their coaches were poached having over-performed last season. So both those wins have to be placed in context.
Meanwhile, high flying Hearts almost came unstuck at Forfar and had to rely on an extra-time winner to see them through. That’s the leaders of The Scottish Premiership by the way.
That’s a pretty big endorsement of Dick Campbell’s side even if Hearts did rest some players against the League One table toppers.
Forfar look to have a mean defence about them this year and with 19 year old Kerr Hay making a name for himself by bagging three goals in just two league matches they look to have a few goals in them too.
Danny Denholm has returned from Livingston and started like he never left by also bagging three goals in the last two matches.

The price on offer right now doesn’t look like lasting (it has already dropped form 2.88 to 2.8) and Forfar going off at 2.5 or less come Saturday is likely.
Of course bear in mind it is an away fixture and by no means a sure thing although the way Forfar have started this season their settled side can be favoured often.
You won’t get this price against many sides this season and it looks like the bookies have over-rated Ayr Utd based on performances so far.
