Aberdeen and Hearts are the best of the rest this season and hopefully they’ll both be out to prove it.
With nothing but pride to play for there is a real danger that neither side bother to turn up. The Jam Tarts in particular seem to have downed tools ages ago with just two wins in their last eight matches.
Their most recent match at home to Ross County was a typical seasons end bore fest and Robbie Neilson took the opportunity to rotate. Both Juanma and Djoum started on the bench and it would be no surprise to see him do similar on Thursday
The Dons haven’t fared much better of late but at home they are still pretty invincible. St Johnstone are still the only team to win here all season and most recently they saw off an in form Motherwell by a 4-1 scoreline.
With this being there last home game of the season they should be raring to give their fans a good send off. Derek McInnes has been irritating the clubs board to furnish him with the required funds to make a sustained title challenge next season.
Two more wins would see them finish the season on an improved total of seventy-seven points and that would give those demands a lot of weight.
Aberdeen v Hearts Betting Preview Best Betting Odds
Aberdeen are favourites and have drifted to the odds against price of 2.05 (21/20) with Betfair, Coral and William Hill. Hearts can be backed at a high of 3.75 (11/4) with bet365 while the draw is the same 3.75 price with McBookie.
Both teams to score has little appeal and the 2.27 (14/11) price for Both Teams To Score NO looks a better option. The same applies to the goals markets with Under 2.5 goals at 2.08 (27/25) with bet365 having a little more appeal.
